Chapter 108

While Carly is talking to Ashley:
Carly: -Hugs her friend as she rubs her back- Ash, I am sure he didn't mean it that way.
Ashley: I don't know what to trust right now. He can say it so many ways and that way hurt me.
Carly: I don't think Jack would ever try and hurt you Ash. He really likes you.

Jack: -Walks over to them and then wraps his arms around Ashley, taking her hands- I do babe. I really like you and I didn't mean it in the way you think at all. I was just kidding. We can be alone anytime.
Ashley: -Turns to look at him and then pushes him away- Don't touch me right now Jack.
Jack: Ash, listen. You want to be alone we can be alone. But sometimes I joke around. I never really meant it actually. It's just when you are at friends' houses as couples you want to hang out with the other couple and you don't want to walk away from them just to be by yourselves.

Carly: Ash, I am going to go back to Cameron. Just talk to Jack okay?
Ashley: Okay. -Looks at Jack-
Carly: -Walks back to Cameron-
Jack: -Takes her hand and then looks at her in the eyes- Ashley, you and I both know that you understood what I meant was not true, it was just a joke.

Ashley: -Rubs his hand as she looks down-
Jack: Ashley, what I meant was that as couples there are times when you can be alone and all over each other but not when you are hanging out with another couple. When you are hanging out with your friends, you are supposed to be hanging out with them and not really be all over your boyfriend or girlfriend. Is that okay?
Ashley: I am starting to understand.

Jack: Ashley. I would never say anything to hurt you. If I knew it was going to hurt you, I never would've said it. But you and I both know that I am new to dating and I am still trying to learn what to and what not to say.
Ashley: Okay. -Moves closer to him and then wraps her arms around his neck-
Jack: -Rubs her butt as he holds her close- I will try and get better by watching what I say. But for now, am I forgiven Ash? -Rubs her butt and smiles at her-
Ashley: You are. -Rubs his neck and then lays her head down on it-
Jack: -Smiles as he kisses her head. He was hoping for her lips but her head is good enough for this situation-
